Super Baby Food Book vs First Foods

The response to a super baby food book (SBFB) BP on Mar07 thread has been moderate. I am still interested to get this book and trying to get the book from another source. The usual SBFB spree organiser said that she's busy and won't be organising another one so soon.

Cindy starfruit and Ginny BBmarch recommended First Foods (FF) ISBN 9789812613349, written by local dieticians, more suited to Asians. Mike helped me buy the book from Popular Toa Payoh (sale now 1 book 10% off, 3 or more books 20% off).

Here's my comparison, having read parts of SBFB and FF:
1. SBFB provides a more holistic approach to feeding, from infant feeding to weaning to toddler feeding. FF covers mostly on weaning and feeding from 6 to 24 months.
2. SBFB is full of hints, tips and practical advices on feeding. FF covers only fundamentals.
3. FF has asian receipes (thumbs up). SBFB is all angmoh receipes.
4. FF is written by local dietians who are more verse in our culture. SBFB is written by a mother, who knew and understood the frustration of providing a wholesome meal to our children, the problems parents face during feeding etc.

My conclusion? FF is a good book to have, especially for some of us who have no idea what to prepare. i would still recommend SBFB because of the holistic approach it has towards feeding as a whole from infant to toddler. Mommies planning no2, do get SBFB. it's definitely worth getting. hey, don't say i'm bias, k?

btw, there is this other book in the resource list which caught my eyes, Feed Your Child Right. It's also published by Marshall Cavendish. those with Passion card can get 20% off >> Passion card discount
